March 21st - March 23rd, 2007

The Engendering Diversity & Community annual conference brings together scholars, artists, activists, performers, community members, and students to share and discuss issues of gender and sexuality. The conference began in 2004 as part of a grant from the College of Arts & Sciences Campus Diversity Initiative. The following years, generous funding support has come largely from conference fees and donations from attendees, presenters, and community members. Programs that continue to support the conference and the Women's, Gender & Sexuality Studies academic program include: the Mosaic Cultural Institute, the Photography Program, the Art Department, the Honors Program, the Theatre Department, the Voice in Action Visiting Writers Series and the Fasnacht Lecture Series sponsored by the Department of Religion & Philosophy. While many attendees and presenters come from California, presenters have come from across the United States and Europe. We hope you'll join us this year!
